In Celebration of Int'l Woman's Day

WOMAN OF VALUE

In a conversation a man asks a woman: “What kind of man are you looking for?”

The woman stayed quiet for a moment and then she looked him in the eye and said: “You want to know for real?”

He said:
“YES”

The woman started by saying: “Being a woman of this age I am in a position to ask from a man what I cannot give myself. Because nowadays I pay my own bills, and take care of my own and my house without the help of any man.”

That puts me in the position to ask the following question: “What can you as a man contribute with to my life?”

The man stayed quiet for a moment, thinking that she was referring to money. She understood his look and said: “I’m not referring to money, I need more than that!” “I need a man that will fight for perfection in every expect of life.”

The man crossed his arms with the same look on his face and asked the woman to explain this to him.

The woman responded: “I’m looking for a man that will fight for mental perfection because I need a man with whom I can talk , one who will feed me and stimulate me mentally. I don’t need a man that’s mentally simpel. I’m looking for a man that’s fighting for spiritual perfection, because I need a man to share my faith in God. I don’t need a man that’s fighting for financial perfection because I do not need financial assistance. I need a man that’s sensible enough to understand me for the things I have to go through in life as a woman. He also needs to be strong enough to encourage me and never let me fall. I’m looking for a man that I can respect. For me to be his woman I need to respect him. I cannot be submissive to a man that cannot handle his own problems. I have no problem to be submissive to a man, but he needs to earn my respect. I cannot help a man that cannot help himself.”

When the woman stopped talking she saw confusion in the man’s eye.

The man told her:
“You ask for too much!”

She responded: “I Am worth it All!”

Psalm 23

The Lord is my Shepherd
That's Relationship!

I shall not want
That's Supply!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures
That's Rest!

He leadeth me beside the still waters
That's Refreshment!

He restoreth my soul
That's Healing!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
That's Guidance!

For His name sake
That's Purpose!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
That's Testing!

I will fear no evil
That's Protection!

For Thou art with me
That's Faithfulness!

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me
That's Discipline!

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies
That's Hope!

Thou anointest my head with oil
That's Consecration!

My cup runneth over
That's Abundance!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
That's Blessing!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
That's Security!

Forever
That's Eternity!

Daily Success Key

"Hell is other people" ... What a way to start the day!
If this is our perception of others, even if it is just one other, then we can expect both, the people and the day to be hell.

We all know how fast expectations can become self-fulfilling prophecies.
We seem to forget that other people are always in two places at once; out there, and in our heads.
And if we decide others are hell, we therefore create hell for ourselves in our own heads.

So let's do a little work, not too much, and transform our own vision.
What do you prefer hell or heaven? When heaven is other people we will know our transformation is complete.

Remember, everyone has a little piece of heaven inside their heart. Have you found yours?

If not, then start in your head, practice perceiving heaven in other people and let the day be heavenly.
You will be amazed what comes out of your heart when you make this little effort with your head.

Now Affirm:

"I am willing to see how and where I need to change. I live in limitless love, light and joy!"
Remember that you are the one to decide whether you will be happy each day or continue singing the same old song day in and day out.

Today, millions of people struggle with their jobs.
Many are unhappy and unfulfilled.
Some feel that they could be doing more with their lives.
Others are frustrated by their supervisors, their co-workers, or their work assignments.
And, unsure of God’s plans and purposes, many Believers question whether their current job is His will for their lives.

Faced with such issues, many people develop bad attitudes. They complain, worry, or become discontented.
They wonder whether they should be silent or speak up, stay in their place of employment, or look for another job.

At times like these, it’s crucial to pray and turn to God’s Word.

Today, do you face problems with your job? Your relationships? Your finances? Your family? Your health? Your direction in life? Call on God now!
He has a wonderful calling and destiny for you. Ask Him for wisdom.
Offer all you have as a living sacrifice to Him, and take the things you think that are `wrong´ about you, and turn them into positive affirmations.

Affirm:

"I am in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing! I earn an excellent income and rejoice in what I have. I know I can be as successful as I make up my mind to be. I am joyously balanced with work and play!"

Food for Thought

As you think about the following text on the two wolves you wil read below, I urge you to think as well about the place you are in life today.

Medidate for a while on where you are and where you want to go, and let the Holy Spirit guide you in the process on how to get there.

Be blessed everyday!

Cherokee Wisdom: Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Today I want to share a story with which I fell in love:

Ice cream for the Soul

Last week I took my children to a restaurant.
My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace.
As we bowed our heads he said: "God is good. God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And liberty and justice for all, Amen"!

Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby, I heard a woman remark: "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for ice cream! Why, I never"!

Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me: "Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me"?

As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table.
He winked at my son and said: "I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer". "Really?, my son asked. "Cross my heart", said the gentleman.
Then whispering he added, indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing: "Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes."

Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal.
My son stared at his for a moment and then did something I will remember the rest of my life. He picked up his sundae and without a word walked over and placed it in front of the woman.

With a big smile he told her: "Here, this is for you. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes, and my soul is good already".

Why Worry?

Why worry, have faith.

I can make a hobby out of worrying.
I worry about the noise and then complain when it is too quiet.
I worry about having too many sunny dry spells and then complain when it rains.
I may even be worried about worrying too much.

It is essential to take an honest interest in what goes on around me, and of course it is always wise to analyse a situation and take the necessary precautions to avoid being influenced by anything negative.

However, when all is said and done, my tense and burdened mind will not be able to function clearly enough to arrive at a suitable solution to a problem.

Maybe I should just do the best that I can and beyond that leave it in the hands of God.

To have faith in the self, faith in God and faith in God's plan is a sure way to remain clear and free of burdens.

The following was received by one of our dear subscribers,
and I would like to share it with you:

If God brings you to it,
He will bring you through it.

Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God
Every moment, thank God.

Food for Thought

"If a child sees his parents day in and day out behaving with self-discipline, restrain, dignity and a capacity to order their own lives, then the child will come to feel in the deepest fibers of his being that this is the way to live.

"If a child sees his parents day in and day out living without self-restraint or self-discipline, then he will come in the deepest fibers of his being to believe that that this the way to live."

The Spiritual Aspect Of Healthcare

Silence, happiness, love and blessings are important aspects.

Happiness leads to good health.

It is only you who can give this medicine to yourself.
Some bring illness to themselves through anger, greed,
unfullfilled desires, expectations, suppression of feelings
and relationships not based on true love.

Look in your heart, you will know where your illness comes from.

There are three ingredients for a long and healthy life:
live with attention but without worry; use time in a worthwhile way;
keep your thoughts pure, positive and filled with strength.

How to install ♥ LOVE

Tech Support: Yes, ... how can I help you?

Customer: Well, after much consideration, I've decided to install Love. Can you guide me through the process?

Tech Support: Yes, I can help you! Are you ready to proceed?

Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready. What do I do first?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart?

Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?

Tech Support: What programs are running?

Customer: Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge and Resentment running right now.

Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off?

Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?

Tech Support: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been completely erased.

Customer: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.

Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error - Program not run on external components." What should I do?

Tech Support: Don't worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart.. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself !before you can Love others.

Customer: So, what should I do?

Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

Customer: Okay, done.

Tech Support: Now, copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.

Customer: Thank you, Heavenly Father.

GOODNESS

My child, do you know how much I enjoy blessing My children?
Do you understand that all I want for you are good things?
But it is also My goodness that forgives and prods your heart when it needs changing.
It is My goodness that allows tests to come your way.
It is My goodness that holds you in the palm of My hand and will not let you go.
I love you, My child.

A GRATEFUL RESPONSE

I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
~ Psalm 27:13 ~

Colossians 3:12-17

As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.

Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body.

And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
