COMFORT

We are comforted because we are heartbroken. We are comforted because we need a blessing. We are comforted because God loves us. We are comforted to comfort others.

While each of the above statements is true, the last is the most crucial one. There is something about comfort that cannot be fully realized until it is shared with someone else.

It is that final step in the healing process of grief, disappointment, hurt, and loss.

Until we share the comfort we have received, until we pass it on to another, our comfort is weak and shallow and limited. Comfort, pass it on!

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone".

~ 1 Thessalonians 5:11, 14 ~

"Comfort, comfort my people, says your God".

~ Isaiah 40:1 ~

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God".

~ 2 Corinthians1:3-4 ~

God offers repentance to all who come to Him! I know that many people believe that they have done something that they cannot be forgiven for, but that is incorrect "For He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust"

~ Psalm 103:14 ~

He also knows that to be of the flesh is to be sinful! After all God has promised, "I will cleanse them all for the sin they have committed against me, and will forgive all their sins of rebelion against me"

~ Jeremiah 33:8 ~

So, do not beat yourself up over past mistakes, ask for forgiveness, and remember that He does not treat as our sin deserve, or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him.

"Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him, and in whose spirit is no deceit" Amen

Verse of the Day: PRODUCTIVITY

Productivity is a term all workplace believers can relate to. It is the by-product of what we desire from our work. Without productivity, we do not make sales, we do not deliver goods, and we do not achieve our goals. There are things in our work lives that can creep in making us unproductive. The same is true in our walk with God.

The apostle Peter tells us that we can become knowledgeable of Jesus but fail to be effective and productive in our relationship with Him. We are a society that has great knowledge, but our comparable scale of productivity from that knowledge is extremely weighted to the knowledge side. The apostle Peter tells us there is a solution to this dilemma.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith, goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keepyou from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 1:5-8)

Is your Christian experience filled with knowledge, but little power? Is there staleness in your walk with God? Is there unrest in your soul? It may be due to a need to develop character that only the Holy Spirit can develop out of an obedient heart. Ask the Lord today to add these qualities to your faith so that you can be productive as as oldier of Jesus Christ. Amen!

For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." - 2 Peter 1:8

Refuse to conquer negativity

“Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor,

and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice”

~ Ephesians 4:31 ~

If we refuse to eliminate negative things from our lives, those negative things will ultimately destroy us, and there will be nothing we can do about it.

Negativity is like a virus to a computer. Once you allow it into your system, it will slowly kill you. The quickest way to rid yourself of negativity is to separate from those who are negative. It is a spirit that transfers from person to person. Make a practice seeing things from a positive perspective. Make the decision to see things through the window of God’s Word and negativity will soon vanish from your life.

You may confess now:

Father, I thank You that I put away from me all bitterness, wrath, clamor, and evil speaking. I decide to see things through Your Word and I choose joy.

The Resurrection: He has risen!

"I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am

alive forever more. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death"

~ Revelation 1:18 ~

Christ has risen, He has risen!

On this the Highest Holy Day of the Christian year, we celebrate Christ's Resurrection, and the promise of forgiveness of our sins, and Eternal Life for God's Children!

Isn't it truly wonderful to know that someday we will be with God, the Arc Angels, our loved ones, and all the company of Heaven?

Let us celebrate today, and thank Jesus Christ for what He did us!

After all it is written: "For indeed Christ, our passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore, let us keep the feast", Amen.

Good Friday: The Cross

From noon, until 3 'o clock pm, there was darkness all over the land.

And about 3 'o clock, Jesus cried out with a loud voice saying:

"ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?"

Then, the veil of the temple was thorn in two from top to bottom, and the earth quaked and the rocks were split.

Preoccupied with the pressures of our daily lives, we can have a hard time grasping the full meaning of Jesus’ death for us. When He died on the Cross, Jesus hung in our place, carrying in His body all the sins that ever would be committed by people throughout history ; our anger and resentment, bitterness and doubt, harsh words and evil thoughts, the things we wish we had done and every mistake we’ve ever made.

Because of Him, we’ve become new creatures. We can draw on the power of the Holy Spirit for the strength, wisdom and power we need as we “live to righteousness”.

This means doing the right things and making the right decisions.

Jesus’ death equips us with power and defeats death and disease. This is a historical fact.

But even though it has already taken place, we need to declare this to be true and believe it.

Absorb these truths into your heart and mind.

Meditate on what the Bible says about Jesus’ death and what it means for you. Don’t struggle in doubt or unbelief, but accept His finished work for you. Don’t give in to sin, for it has already been defeated.

Live in the victory Jesus already has won for YOU!

[that through these days we may share in Christ’s dying and rising]

Almighty and ever living God, in your tender love towards us you sent your Son to take our nature upon him, and to suffer death upon the cross; grant that we may follow the example of his great humility and share in his glorious resurrection:

A PRAYER THAT IS ALWAYS ANSWERED

Prayer can be a wonderful way to transcend the petty and bring peace to a struggling mind.

And what is the best way to pray?

Prayers such as those that ask for something - are often called "petitionary prayers". Petitionary prayers do not do the job of ending our struggle -- whether they have loving sentiments behind them or selfish ones.

As an alternative, let me offer a very special prayer that bring us the peace of mind we are seeking every time we pray. You will see how vastly it differs from a petitionary prayer.

This special prayer combines a prayer of trust and a prayer of gratitude as follows:

Dear God, I trust that no matter what happens in my life, it is for my highest good.

And no matter what happens in the lives of those I love, it is for their highest good. From all things that are put before us, we shall become stronger and more loving people. I am grateful for all the beauty and opportunity you put into my life. And in all that I do, I shall seek to be a channel for your love.

So simple, yet so powerful! You can see that this prayer asks for nothing.

It has no attachment behind it. It says that even if I don't find that partner, even if I don't get that job, even if my loved one doesn't get well, whatever happens is for the highest good of all concerned. And I will learn and grow from it all.

So often "unwanted" situations in our lives turn out to be blessings in disguise.

Would you do something for me right now? Say this prayer to yourself very slowly taking into your heart the meaning of the words. Let yourself relax as you feel a sense of trust and gratitude roaming through your body, mind and soul. I suspect that any sense of struggle will at least temporarily be replaced by a beautiful sense of peace and caring.

And it is a prayer to share. So whether you share this prayer with others or hold it in your head and heart to be repeated often, the benefits will spill over into all areas of your life.

You will notice the struggle abating and peace entering your being as you send your loving energy out into this very needy world.

Prayer Reflection:

Yesterday, on Palm Sunday we reflected on Christ's last few days in human form, and what a great price HE paid for our sins!

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that who ever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

~ John 3:17-18 ~

What a tremendous price and sacrifice that was! This is a true demonstration of how very much our Heavenly Father loves each one of us!

So, why not pause for a moment or two and Thank our Savior for what HE did for you, and me, and the rest of HIS Children as well.

Why not also attend the Church of your choice, and tell HIM how much you love HIM, for that will make Your Day!

Too many people think of the Bible only as a Holy book to be revered.

So they put it up on a shelf and make sure no one mistreats it.

But the Bible is a message from God. It gives us instruction for our benefit -- practical advice.

It's time to take the Bible down off the pedestal, read it, and act on its instructions.

Here is one seldom acted upon: talk to things.

The de-vil wants you to think it would be crazy to talk to things. But it's not.

Jesus did it. He talked to sickness. He talked to the storm and told it to be still. He talked to dead bodies and commanded them to get up. He talked to trees.

And He talked to the de-vil and told him to get behind him.

Jesus talked to things. You should too.

You should talk to fear and worry. You should talk to confusion.

You should talk to lack. You should talk to sickness. You should talk to the de-vil. Tell them to leave. Tell them to "be removed".

YOU MAY SAY THIS:

Jesus said I can talk to things. So I speak to everything that is of the de-vil and command it to get out of my life now!
