Who's Got Your Back?

As spiritual beings having a human experience called life, we encounter situations in which we do not feel supported. We have those people in our life who have disappointed us, betrayed us, let us down or simply turned their backs on us (well, at least that is what we have made up about particular situations). And, as a result, we often believe that there is no one that we can depend on. We think that there is no one that we can count on to be there when we really need guidance or support. And, we are led to ask the question: who's got my back?

What I know about trust is that it is a reflection of our belief in, and reliance upon our connection with God, the Divine, the Creator, the Universe (whatever we call It). And, we build our trust, just like any muscle, as we exercise it. We can learn from every situation, circumstance, or challenge in our lives knowing there is a lesson and a blessing in everything.

So, I am clear when I say that we're Divinely connected, Divinely guided and Divinely protected? We must acknowledge our birthright and our membership in the Divine Family. We must honor our connection to the One Power and One Presence.

I know who has my back, my front, my sides, my top and my bottom, my innermost being and my outward expression.

So, the question is: who's got your back?
