Here's some wisdom on how you can help the children in your life become the best that they can be.
On a practical level, pay attention to what they say; dignify their thoughts and words by responding and carrying on conversations with them. Take the time to go to the ballgame, attend the play, oversee practice sessions at home. Invest in the best coaching and training opportunities available to those who need to know that you are interested in them and on their side. Ask them what they dream of doing, what they would love to do, what they long to accomplish. Engage them in conversations on those topics and sprinkle words of affirmation and encouragement throughout the discussion. In these ways, the young people in your life will know you care about them, and your support and encouragement will motivate them to do great things as they fulfill the great destinies before them.
"Everybody needs a cheerleader. The young people around you need you to motivate them to greatness by encouraging and supporting them".
