What would happen in our homes if we saw an epidemic of husbands and wives infected with being faithful in little things? What if we really did all the little things we say we'll do?
Many people these days want the "much" without the "very little".
We want the gain without the grind, the sweets without the sweat, the prize without the pain, the perks without the perseverance.
Duty, diligence, hard work and attention to details, are rare commodities in any endeavor-whether at home or at work. How about cheering your family members on when a good deed was done for someone when no one was apparently watching ; or when a child tells the truth instead of lying, even when lying would be easier.
How do you view the "little things"? As picky things to be ignored? Or as stepping stones to receiving the "true riches" of the Kingdom? What would happen to the next generation if we trained our children to be faithful? If they don't learn to be faithful in the little things from you, then what kinds of leaders, workers, husbands, wives, fathers and mothers will they make? If you don't teach them, who will?
Focus: Why is faithfulness in little things so important in a marriage? A family? How can you impart this truth to your family?
Pray: Ask God to build your character quotient by enabling you to be faithful in little things with your spouse and your family.
